Student gets closer to his future college life

The excitement of opening a letter and finding out that you just received a $2,000 scholarship is just too much excitement.

Joe Medoff, from Swampscott Mass, had that same feeling when he learned that he had just received the Fitzwater scholarship from Franklin Pierce and the Director of the Center, Dr. Kristen Nevious. The reason why he wanted to come to The Presidency and the Press was to get a taste of dorm life that he will be set into in September. “It will look good on my resume” said Medoff, who had experience working with television at Swampscott High School in Massachusetts.

The reason that he decided to come here is because this was the school that gave him the most money and that with his parents having two kids in college and when it comes to parents and their expenses he wants to make sure that his parents and himself can afford his education. He is thinking about Majoring in Mass Communications in the fall.

“Everyone is really cool here and nice, if I had to leave my town for anything it would be for this.”
