The light tones of a ukulele can occasionally be heard coming from Jeffrey Ahlquist’s room in Maine. Yes, that’s right, The Presidency and Press camper not only plays the guitar and bass but also the traditional Hawaiian instrument. To Jeff, music, theater, and cinematography are his passions.

He loves making music and enjoys acting because he loves the energy and unforgiving ways of a live audience. He stated, “Nothing compares to the rush of the oh’s, ah’s, laughter and applause”. Jeff held a leading role in “The Fiddler on the Roof” this past spring. The Saint Dominic Academy senior has also found release in his sports. He runs cross country, plays tennis and skis and snowboards.

In the future Jeff hopes to be a psychologist or business owner and claims that he will always play the instruments he enjoys strumming now.
