From the President to Mickey Mouse

Former Presidential Photographer David Valdez was a photo visionary at the White House who was able to take his talents to the big stage at Walt Disney.

Asked at a recent interview what it was like to switch from taking photos of the president to being a Disney photographer, Valdez responded by stating he found enjoyment in both but all together they were not entirely different.

Rather than taking pictures of excited people with the president he was snapping shots of jubilant Disney lovers with Mickey Mouse.

Valdez’s love for photography carried his interest to Walt Disney after being the White House photographer from 1983 to 1993.
