Former Gossip Girl writer Clay Morsey gave insight into his unique profession as a young writer (currently 19), attending V.I.P parties, working with stars, all while still in school.                                                                                                                                             Mosey explained “it was sometimes awkward” due to being in high school. He stated “some people just want to meet someone because of what they do and not who they are,” this idea drove him to keep the friends from before he began writing for CW. While he told of great parties with unexpected twists as well as embarrassing incidences from the actors on the set, he explained “all you have in this life is friends and family;” With so many writers, directors, and glorified actors falling victim to the superficial culture of Hollywood and the world of entertainment it is refreshing to see not only a young writer pulling for new ideas but a writer who considers ethics, morals, while following their ambitions. With new projects lined up for Morsey, this youthful writer doesn’t seem to be fading from the behind the scenes world of television and movies; only time will tell if this young writer will mature and progress into the revolutionary writer he has the potential to be.
