Student reporters bombard presidential hopeful

Former Senator Rick Santorum entered his Manchester, New Hampshire headquarters Monday, July 18, only to be greeted by the swarm of Presidency and the Press student reporters awaiting the chance to interview the presidential campaigner.

After a quick briefing on the history of his campaign and decision to run for the presidency, Santorum got right to answering questions.

The lucky few who had the chance to interview the presidential hopeful came out with questions involving religion, abortion and education views along with his ideas for jump starting the economy.

Student reporter Aaron Dupuis inquired about Santorum’s currently low standing in the polls.

“We’re building a base, a solid foundation, the super-structure starts to go up around caucuses.  The result will be a very strong force to take back the Whitehouse,” Santorum said.

He also snuck in a bit of humor, telling the crowd his youngest son’s campaigning advice “Don’t put your chin down, you look fat.”
