The Presidency and the Press students tested their journalistic comfort zones in July from Rindge to Concord. Each student wrote stories on their experiences and took on the role of real journalists.

“Journalism is interesting and something I like to focus on,” said a P&P student Austin Christopher.

Throughout the week these students attended the Presidency and the Press, they traveled to many landmarks across New Hampshire such as the State Capital, State Library and the Offices of two Senators (Shaheen and Ayotte).

“(The landmarks) were interesting,” said Jeff Ahlquist, another P&P student. “Experiencing (the landmarks) made me want to write about them more.”

The experiences created influenced the students’ articles when returning to Franklin Pierce University to write a story each morning. Each story pertained to the previous days’ events.
